In Isaiah 46:10 God said He knows the beginning from the end. He knows our futures. He proved that truth to me the other day.
My tenant needed a few handyman tasks done, so I contacted my buddy, Kendall, to see if he could help me out. Not a problem, he said. He planned to go Monday evening. Late Monday afternoon my other tenant texted me about a smell from the heat vent. It’s a duplex, so my tenants are next door neighbors. Sure, no problem. I so happen to have someone on the way at this moment.
Kendall called me later to inform me that the vent smell was due to the unfortunate demise of my blower vent, but he replaced it with a new one he had on his truck. Oh, I didn’t mention that my handyman Kendall is a full time HVAC contractor. When I originally contacted him for work in unit A, there were no HVAC tasks on my list. And I could’ve contacted anyone for general handyman work, but God knew that between Thursday afternoon and Monday evening my other tenant was going to text me about a blown heater blower vent. And He had me pick the right guy.
God knows the beginning from the end. He is the Beginning and the End (Rev 22:13).
2020 has been a crazy, whacky, mixed up, messed up, stressful time, but we can be sure of one thing – nothing has caught God by surprise. He still sits on the throne and is still in charge and uses all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes (Romans 8:28).
If that describes you, take heart and be at peace. God has your future.
