A few Scriptures to remind you who God says you are

Do you know who you are as a Christian? You may need a reminder.

The following is a list compiled by Neil Anderson of Freedom In Christ Ministries. His book, Victory Over the Darkness, was a game-changer for me. Get these Scriptures in your head to chase away the negative self-talk and live victoriously.

You Are Accepted in Christ

John 1:12 — You Are God’s child

John 15:15 — You Are Christ’s friend

Romans 5:1 — You have been justified

1 Corinthians 6:17 — You are united with the Lord and one with Him in spirit

1 Corinthians 6:20 — You have been bought with a price, you belong to God

1 Corinthians 12:27 — You are a member of Christ’s body

Ephesians 1:1 — You are a saint

Ephesians 1:5 — You have been adopted as God’s child

Ephesians 2:18 — You have direct access to God through the Holy Spirit

Colossians 1:14 — You have been redeemed and forgiven of all your sins

Colossians 2:10 — You are complete in Christ

You are Secure in Christ

Romans 8:1–2 — You are free forever from condemnation

Romans 8:28 — You are assured that all things work together for good

Romans 8:33–34 — You are free from any condemning charges against you

Romans 8:35 — You cannot be separated from the love of God

2 Corinthians 1:21 — You have been established, anointed and sealed by God

Colossians 3:3 — You are hidden with Christ in God

Philippians 1:6 — You are confident that the good work God has begun in you will be perfected

Philippians 3:20 — You are a citizen of heaven

2 Timothy 1:7 — You have not been given a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind

Hebrews 4:16 — You can find grace and mercy in time of need

1 John 5:18 — You are born of God and the evil one cannot touch you

You are Significant in Christ

Matthew 5:13–14 — You are the salt and light of the earth

John 15:1-5 — You are a branch of the true vine, a channel of His life

John 15:16 — You have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit

Acts 1:8 — You are a personal witness of Christ’s

1 Corinthians 3:16 — You are God’s temple

2 Corinthians 5:17–20 — You are a minister of reconciliation

2 Corinthians 6:1 — You are God’s co-worker

Ephesians 2:6 — You are seated with Christ in the heavenly realm

Ephesians 2:10 — You are God’s workmanship

Ephesians 3:12 — You may approach God with freedom and confidence

Philippians 4:13 — You can be content in all things because Christ strengthens you

The Victory is Yours

You won the moment you confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. But do you believe it? Are you behaving like it? Lift your head up. You’re a child of God.
