So many things don’t get done because I don’t do them first thing. Daily devotionals, exercise, educational reading, etc.

The road to mediocrity is paved with good intentions. If something is worth doing, it’s worth doing first thing when you get up. Don’t allow the machine of your daily grind crank up and get you sucked in.

Our destinies are shaped by our disciplines. Just the slightest positive change done daily 365 will compound over time to alter the trajectory of our lives.

As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Do the thing and you shall have the power.”

Or we can continue to live within the confines of our comfortable, complacent ruts and look back on our lives 5 years from now and see the same scenery.

I’d rather not.
