This is what happens when you expect something to do that it wasn’t designed to do.
The bucket was made to carry paint or water or dirt or use your imagination. The engineer didn’t ponder its potential as a trailer prop. When used as one, as you can see, it ultimately buckled and broke under the pressure of the weight placed on it.
People are the same way.
An employee placed in a position not suited for her unique gifts and skills won’t thrive.
Unrealistic expectations of our children will make them miserable.
Piling all of your burdens on your wife will bury her emotionally. She’s not made for it.
But God is.
“Cast your cares on The Lord and He will sustain you…” Psalm 55:12.
Then husbands you will have the strength to do what you were designed to do.
Lead and love.
