I just heard a TV commercial for a certain drug to treat a certain issue.

As always, all of the disclaimers were made at the end. This drug may cause this and that and ooohhh really, it can cause that?! Why would I want to swap this problem for that problem?

I didn’t think the announcer would finish with the list of possible side effects. It’s astounding that people would actually use the drug after hearing how it might ravage their body.

Yet men will still buy it.

It’s one thing to get ambushed by a bad situation, but it’s altogether different to walk open eyes (and ears) in front of a moving train. But we all do it all the time.

The double cheeseburger today won’t kill you, but the 4 a week that we eat just might.

We know that to use credit cards to buy today what we can’t afford today can bite us if we lose our jobs.

The office flirtation is completely innocent and won’t lead to anything…until it does.

The snake will eventually bite you if you play with it long enough. It’s a snake. A tiger will, too. Just ask Roy Horn of Siegfried & Roy.

Proverbs 22:3 say, “The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.”

Life is hard enough. I’m looking both ways before I cross the tracks.
