Apple

The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.

We’ve all heard that before and we’ve projected that burden on to others.

“That guy’s a bum.”

“Well, the apple didn’t fall too far from the tree. You know his daddy.”

There may be truth to the statement, but if you are the apple they are talking about, you don’t have to accept it.

There’s another tree. It was fashioned into a Cross. As a Christian you were grafted into it. Romans 11:11-31.

The next time you hear someone talk about your tree, remind her that you have a new Daddy.

And your apple lies under His tree.
