More

I want more.

Yes, I am greedy. But hear me out.

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”(Ephesians 3:20 NIV)

That’s the more I want. The more that only God can do.

More grace for other people.

More discipline for myself.

More focus on the good qualities of others.

More faith in His Word and promises.

More confidence in who I am through Him who strengthens me.

More resistance to being offended.

More time with my family.

More intimacy with The Lord.

More patience with my kids.

More love for my wife.

More opportunities to prove God faithful.

More discernment with my words.

More wisdom in my finances.

More knowledge of His Truth.

More peace through difficult times.

More awareness of the devil’s lies and schemes to mess up God’s plan for me.

More understanding of how wide and deep His love is for me.

More belief that He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world.

More power to push through problems.

Sometimes less is more, but other times more is immeasurably better.

My best friend Arthur said he was going to take my first two statements as his own personal mantras. That’s fine.

I’m not that greedy.
