You probably think we had that picture taken yesterday, but no, it was a few years ago. My guess is 30. I was wise enough to coerce Sandra to fall in love with me when she was young and naive and then marry me 8 years later.
In fact, it was 22 years ago on this very day. A Friday night as well. I spoke the most important words of my life.
I do.
And since then I’ve been learning to say the next most important words.
“Yes, ma’am.”
As my friend, Tim says, “Happy wife, happy life.”
Indeed.
So happy anniversary, Sandra.
You are the love of my life. Or as one of our songs says, I simply love you more than I love life itself.
Thank you for sticking with me. We have a lot to show for our love. God has been good to us.
